COVID-19 SAFETY MEASURES
For the foreseeable future, we are retaining our Covid-19 safety measures. We have put in place a booking system to limit the numbers of visitors at any one time and, once inside the Museum, visitors will be required to sanitise their hands, social distance, and wear masks (If you are feeling unwell with cold-like symptoms please consider visiting us another day.) We will also be cleaning our toilets regularly. You can visit us alone or in a family group or ‘bubble’ (max 6 people), and use of our lift will be reserved for one person or ‘bubble’ at a time, with the exception of when a user requires support.
Please note that visitors will only have access to the shop and the first floor of the Museum, because the balcony displays in the auditorium were water-damaged during the pandemic, and key café staff were redeployed into new jobs to support schools and care homes. The shop, however, is full of new products, many of which have been inspired by the Human Threads exhibition.
Thursday to Saturday
11:00 - 16:00
Wheelchair access is possible to most parts of the site. However, due to the historic nature of some of the buildings, some access may be difficult. There is a lift to all floors.
Accessible toilets are available on the ground floor, shop and TIC.
All Assistance Dogs are allowed in the museum.
