FRIENDS OF CEREDIGION MUSEUM

The Friends of Ceredigion Museum are a registered independent charity (No. 506308).

We were established as an ‘Association’, with a detailed Constitution which governs how we work, as long ago as the 1970s. Our charitable purpose (our ‘Object’) is to support the Museum in:

'the education of the public by promotion, support, assistance and improvement of the Ceredigion Museum'

By now we have just under 150 Members, and we organise events annually, including talks, activities, trips and an AGM.

We have also raised and given to the Museum many thousands of pounds during our existence, especially for the recent New Approaches project, which was supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund and the National Lottery players. The money is used for a variety of purposes, including capital funding, match-funding for grant aid, purchasing collection items, and conservation of museum objects.
